Xinjiang is probably a cross between the European pear and the Asian nashi pear and is widely cultivated in northern China.

It is an easy-to-grow and graceful tree and is very well suited to our climate.
The foliage turns red in autumn.
It is also very suitable for hedges and espalier training.
The fruit is sweet with a pleasant tang and keeps well in the fridge!
