Walnut tree 'Nr. 16' is a moderately growing tree, growing to a height of 12-16 metres.

The 'Nr. 16' sprouts quite early, which increases the chance of freezing during late night frosts in spring. Protection against night frost is therefore strongly recommended.

Self-pollinating, high production

The fruit is elongated with a sharp point.
The taste of the nuts is very good. Also after they have been stored for a year. They contain a high oil content and can therefore be used very well to make nut oil.
